A simple breathing exercise when times feel hard

 

We all have parts of our past we'd like to forget. Instead of beating yourself up over a decision you made or a chapter you'd like to forget, practice repeating this mantra:

Inhale the future.

Exhale the past.

It's best if you do it with a breathing exercise - practice physically exhaling the past you want to let go of.  Close your eyes, open your mouth, and with an audible exhale, let it all go. Then on your inhale, think of the future you want to create. Repeat this and the anxiety or sadness you feel for that past will be behind you in no time. Fingers crossed.
