Bulletproof Matcha Latte
Some mornings I need an extra pick-me-up for my brain and body, and that’s when I turn to a bulletproof matcha latte. It’s full of the health benefits I’ve come to love from matcha, and it’s also loaded with protein and healthy fats. Before we dive in to this easy matcha latte recipe, let’s remember why matcha is such a popular beverage of choice:
Now on to my bulletproof matcha recipe. This one keeps me energized without any jitters, gives me focus, and it tastes like a dream. It really does feel like a giant mug of self-care every morning when I make this for myself. So go on, treat yo’self. And let me know what you think!
INGREDIENTS
1 tsp ceremonial grade matcha (A few of my favorites are Heapwell, Ippodo, Soar Organics (Tiffany15 for 15% off + free shipping), Matchaful and House of Matcha.)
1 tsp MCT oil (I use Natural Force eMCT oil)
1 scoop Collagen Peptides or Marine Collagen (It will get a little frothier with the Collagen Peptides. My favorite brand for collagen is Natural Force, and they have a great blog post about the difference between Collagen Peptides and Marine Collagen here.)
1 tsp ghee (or grass-fed butter) (I use 4th and Heart) OR 1 tsp Coconut Butter (I use Nutiva or Artisana.)
12 oz almost boiling water (170* - 175*)
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Add your almost boiling water to your blender (I use a Vitamix.) You could also use an oversized glass jar with an immersion blender or an oversized mug with an electric frother.
2. Add all ingredients to your blender.
3. Blend on low-medium for 1 - 2 minutes.
4. Pour into your mug and enjoy!
Well, maybe Instagram it first and tag #whitespaceandwellness so I can drool over your pretty matcha lattés.
Personalize your matcha with these options:
*Add 1 tsp vanilla extract
*Add 1 - 2 tsp maple syrup if you prefer a little sweeter drink
* Add 1/2 tsp Ashwagandha for a natural stress reducer
*Sprinkle a little Ceylon cinnamon on top

I'd love to hear how you drink your matcha, what cafés are making great matcha lattés, and of course, if you try this recipe, let me know what you think in the comments below or tagging me on Instagram. Wishing you whitespace and wellness and an abundance of matcha.
