Coconut Acia Smoothie

I normally sneak some greens into my smoothies, but today, the last of my spinach is looking a little wilted. Plus I was feeling the fruit vibes in a major way, so I let myself off the hook! There is so much pressure to drink your veggies and eat your fruit, but sometimes (ahem, usually) we are hardest on ourselves, and it's so important to listen to your body and give it what it's craving now and again.

So if you're feeling fruity, this smoothie is bound to do the trick. You can even throw a few fresh or frozen blackberries and/or blueberries into the base of the smoothie if you'd like. I won't tell anybody. 



I 3.5 ounce packet unsweetened açai

1 large banana 

½ - 1 cup coconut water

1/4 cup frozen coconut chunks (I load up on these from Trader Joe's)

1 tbsp chia seeds

1 scoop Marine Collagen or Collagen Peptides 

2 scoops protein powder (I used Moon Juice Blue Adaptogen Protein Powder) 

1/2 Tbsp agave syrup or honey 

1/2 cup ice cubes

Directions: All add ingredients to a blender and blend for 30-60 seconds until smooth. Add more coconut water or plain water if needed to do the job, or add more ice if you like your smoothies thicker, like me. 


¼ cup granola

Handful of blackberries

Chia seeds
